Welcome to the Columbia Basin Family Resource Society! (CBFRS)
We are a CARF Accredited Organization that provides a wide range of services to children, youth, and families in the Elk Valley. We have been operating in the Elk Valley and South Country since 2002, and strive to work with existing services in the area to promote strength and wellness to all families.
We acknowledge our respect for, and share our deepest gratitude to the Ktunaxa peoples on whose homelands we are honoured to live and work.
We support around 500 Elk Valley families and individuals per year using our strength based, client centred approach. Our goal is to help families and individuals recognize and focus on the things that are working in their relationships and help families solve problems on their own. We believe in each person’s ability, responsibility and right to be heard, to be safe, and to have information to make decisions about their own life.
